Balance Vip's - Zmogus - 01-12-2024 Players on Steam CS 1.6 Zombie servers should receive free VIP status as a way to foster community growth and reward loyalty. Many players invest hours into enhancing the gaming experience by actively participating, building friendships, and providing feedback to improve server quality. Offering free VIP access encourages continued engagement and attracts new players by creating a more dynamic and inclusive atmosphere. VIP perks, such as access to exclusive items or abilities, can also make gameplay more enjoyable and rewarding, motivating players to stay loyal to the server and contribute positively to its popularity. Such a gesture not only builds goodwill but also helps server owners retain a thriving and active player base, thanks for reading. Signs out - Zmogus RE: Balance Vip's - Pohuva - 01-12-2024 there isn't a lot of perks for VIPs it's useless and same as regular player RE: Balance Vip's - Zmogus - 02-12-2024 Hi, Pohuva saw your reply might aswell answer it- So the vip perk is very useful since it gives 3x the xp also you get stuff like parachutes which is very cool and important trying to fly away from zombies as a noobie myself grinding in this server is very difficult, without any special things like admins and s.admins or even vip. i see that you haven't even experience the low lever grind on the server yourself without special perks. thanks for your reply ![]() RE: Balance Vip's - Pohuva - 02-12-2024 (02-12-2024, 03:35 PM)Zmogus Wrote: Hi, Pohuva saw your reply might aswell answer it- aw yeah forget about 3x xp, about the parachutes flying they won't allow you to fly freely cuz strafing/sgs/bgs not allowed , there is no special guns RE: Balance Vip's - Zmogus - 05-12-2024 well, parachutes are in the game to fly away from zombies im sure, and why would i forget about 3x xp its very usseful in early game, there's no special guns becouse we don't need any. RE: Balance Vip's - Frost - 06-12-2024 You already have several ways to potentially gain VIP for free: - We host monthly giveaways. You have the opportunity to win 300 coins and purchase VIP from that. - We host (well used to at least) events periodically. In these events, you generally have the opportunity to win higher rewards than in giveaways (from 300 coins to 800). - You automatically get free VIP when you get to TOP 3. - You can always also upload videos about our server on YouTube and ask TheKiller (the owner of this community) to compensate. This would, however, apply only if you would get a decent amount of views for your video. If you give every player a free VIP, it doesn't become a "VIP" anymore. You can't really call that a VIP anymore when everyone has it by default. And I never understand the servers that advertise themselves as having "Free VIP indefinitely". It's not a VIP or any form of special perks. It's just default perks and perms that are applied to every player. I just wanted to share a perspective from someone starting fresh with a new account. Progressing feels really tough as a beginner. The only reliable way for me to earn XP is the /freexp command, but beyond that, it’s an uphill battle trying to go up against players with max ranks, admins, and powerful setups. For example, playing on de_dust 2x2 as a zombie often just feels like being farmed by heavily geared opponents with M3 Dragons—it can get discouraging quickly. I totally get your point about maintaining the exclusivity and appeal of VIP status—it’s what makes it special! At the same time, I think there might be ways to make VIP feel more accessible to players who are enthusiastic but might struggle to meet the current requirements. Here are a couple of ideas that could balance exclusivity with accessibility: Limited Trial VIP Offer a short-term trial (like 7 days) of VIP perks for new or active players who hit specific engagement goals, such as logging in daily for a week or completing in-game challenges. This gives them a taste of VIP and might motivate them to work toward earning or buying it long-term. Community Recognition Program Reward players for contributing positively to the community, like helping new players, reporting issues, or creating content that promotes the server. A "Community MVP" program could offer temporary VIP as a thank-you. I think a few tweaks could make the experience more rewarding and enjoyable for newcomers, while still maintaining the unique charm and prestige of VIP status. Thanks again for all the effort you’ve put into building this community—it’s truly appreciated! Best regards, Zmogus RE: Balance Vip's - Frost - 12-12-2024 For what it's worth, 3 EUR for a month-worth of VIP is definitely not much at all. Especially nowadays. This decision also falls down primarily on Killer and it's highly unlikely that he'd feel generous enough to distribute "free trials" to players willy-nilly. That being said, we typically offer holiday sales before celebrations. Not sure if this will be applied for this year's Christmas and New Year's. RE: Balance Vip's - Zmogus - 13-12-2024 Hi Frost, Thanks for the response—I completely understand your point about maintaining the value and exclusivity of VIP. It’s what makes it feel like an achievement and something to work toward, which is important for any community. That being said, I also think there’s room to make the journey toward VIP a bit more rewarding without giving it away “willy-nilly.” For example: Community Incentives: Encouraging players to contribute positively to the community (e.g., helping newcomers, promoting the server online, or reporting bugs) I know 3 EUR for a month of VIP is reasonable, and I appreciate the holiday sales you’ve mentioned. But a few small changes like these might make progression a little more approachable for newcomers while still preserving the appeal of VIP status. Best regards, Zmogus |
